Honda Prelude Charge light problem
When I switch on the ignition before cranking the engine the charge light comes on briefly then goes off, this occurs at the same as you can here a relay click.
The alternator is charging at 14.5 volts.
Does this indicate an alternator regulator failure?
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Chris

Hi homesmanny
Are you sure the alternator light should go out before cranking the engine?
I am sure it always remained on once the ignition was on but the engine was not running.
It is normal for the check engine light to go out a second or so after turning on the ignition, but the red alternator light should stay on until the engine is started.
Do you agree?
