I have a 2004 civic lx manual trans, and whenever I move there is a noise that sounds as if its coming from the engine or something. only if I am moving or rev the motor decently high.
When I come to a stop id say about 3 seconds and the noise comes to a hault. Sometimes it sounds like its in the exhaust but then sounds like its in the motor if I open the hood.
I have a CEL and it scanned for clean EGR Valve & ports.
not sure if that could make a noise sounds as if its in the motor.
any advice would be great.
I don't think its heatshields, I can barely be moving in neutral sometimes and it'll happen
edit: best way to describe it, sounds like metal dragging underneath the car or a "Pop corny sounds"

 

Check all the exhaust heat shields.
