Default 2004 Honda Civic No Start No Crank

My 04 Honda Civic has twice done this. I press in the clutch turn the key and get the dash flickering. I got the car started once by taking the battery off and putting it back on.
I recently did an oil change on it as well as I thought it would help but guess it didn't.
So this morning I pressed in the clutch and turned the key and just lights on the dash. No start No Crank. I tried the battery again but nothing worked.
I'm just wondering if you guys could help me out by listing things that may be the problem and possibly providing some solution. Please and thank you I'm trying to make this car last

Possibly bad battery, starter, or bad ground. Have the battery and starter tested first to rule them out. Check your battery connections are clean and not corroded, as well as the engine and tranny ground cables.

If those are good, next things to check would be clutch safety switch, relays, and ignition switch.

Good luck

I would check those too, if it were cranking and not starting. But this here is a no crank, no start.

Engine has to turn before spark matters.

Yes you are right ...If you get light of the dash but nothing happens when turn the key into position II I recommend to check the starter ... Check if your starter wire is not corroded and cut open ... Visual inspection may help ... If not remove the starter and see if the wire is still not corroded ... They use a thick bundle of fine wires and these can get corroded by time ... The starter is still fine internally.. But you may need to replace that bundle of wires rehabilitate the starter... Or replace the starter.
Good luck.
