check engine light flashing on
1999 Honda CR-V LX with about 127,500 miles where feels like it shaking like loosing gas about to cut off on full tank of gas. This has happens in stop and go traffic on highway doing 65, local highway with traffic lights 55 and local city driving. I turn off everything extra in vehicle like CD player, air-condition, unplug GPS and was able to continue driving without it cutting off. The first time something like this happen was during the winter where I lost all power & had to stop the vehicle with hand brake for about 5 minutes. I found out about ignition switch recall & took it into the dealer and have it replace about a year ago.
It was suggested to put in premium gas instead of regular, but this has happen again.

1999 Honda CR-V LX automatic
In May during rush hour traffic of stop and go for about 50 minutes of highway driving. While waiting at the traffic light my vehicle again to shake with dash board flickering I turned off everything a vehicle cut off, but I was able to start right back up. I exited off the highway where vehicle light came on and vehicle felt like it was dragging with hesitation. I got an oil change a few minutes later. Several days later the check engine light came on during local driving. June I had someone look at the vehicle who suggested putting premium gas as at start of process of elimination and to have the distributor cap done. (This was just done about 3,800 mileages ago back in 09/2017,but this also mention since have many after market parts in my vehicle.) July I fill my tank with half of premium gas stop & go traffic about 20 minutes of driving engine light started to flash for about 5 minutes where I turned off everything extra on vehicle air- etc. & was able to drive with out it cutting off. Yesterday (2 weeks later)evening on highway for about 20 minutes 65 mph no traffic getting off the highway riding climbing down mountain area my vehicle started to have the hesitation feel the check engine light flash for about a minute I turned off everything extra and able to get to home with out vehicle cutting off. (The last 3 times I had just filled my tank from 1/2 full that day or couple prior to my highway driving).

I highly doubt the problem is your grade of gasoline. CR-Vs are tuned (from the factory) to run on regular, 87 octane fuel. I have no idea if you've done internal engine upgrades that would change your compression ratio, but if you haven't, buy 87 octane fuel. STEP ONE is check your engine codes. If your check engine light is flickering it's probably a misfire code. If it's a P030X (where X = 1, 2, 3, or 4), look to the corresponding cylinder (i.e. cylinder 1, 2, 3, or 4) for a bad spark plug wire, fouled spark plug, or compression problem. If the code is a P0300 and/or any combination of P030X, you've got misfires on multiple cylinders and you've got a misfire that's more broad. It could be an ignition control module, it could be that your exhaust valves are out of adjustment and compression is suffering, it could be that you need to replace your spark plugs or spark plug wires, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, etc... If you replace the spark plug wires, ALWAYS use a set of NGK wires. Hondas are picky about secondary ignition components, and they don't like Chinese junk. If it's an ignition control module (aka "igniter"), get a quality one from honda or NEC, otherwise you'll be replacing it again soon.
The tl;dr version, check your engine codes and let us know what you find.

Be sure to check your valve clearance. I own a 2000 Honda CRV and wasn't aware valve adjustments had to be done periodically(every 30k some suggested). At around 110K started having random misfires and ended up with a burnt cylinder valve.
