Default IIIgen 2.0 AT - problem with gearbox

Hello,

I have a problem, please help. I have Prelude III GEN 89r. 2.0 automatic transmission. I have problem with gearbox if i not let go gas, he will dont change I have to push it on at least 4,500 RPM and let go lightly RPM - than gearbox change, what's the matter?

1. The gearbox does not show errors
2. The engine does not show errors
3. Oil in the box replaced.
4. Solenoid - check its OK

Sorry for grammar !

From what I gather, the transmission will not shift gears until the engine reaches 4,500 rpm or more and the throttle is released.

I am not knowledgeable about auto trans, but if the torque converter has an issue, would it keep the transmission loaded up and not allow it to shift?

Is there a cable that controls kickdown that could be out of adjustment or stuck to keep it from shifting?
