Suggestions Request: B16 Intake manifold & Throttle Body Options
Hey guys, looking for someone to point me in the right direction for my throttle body and intake. Currently upping the stakes on my b16 build. 81.5mm bore, 10.5 c/r fully built head, GE sleeves, Weisco pistons, Manley turbo tuff 625 rods precision 6266 etc.. Now that generalities are out and in the open, I currently have the skunk2 ultra street intake manifold and skunk2 70mm TB from when I just wanted 500hp. I was thinking about growing up to the Skunk2 Ultra race intake manifold but I am unsure as to what size to use based off their scale (their scale goes up to 3.5L). I am also unsure about going bigger than a 74mm TB seeing as they have space for a 90mm but I think that that may just be overkill. Having enough fuel won't be the issue I'm just concerned with how big to go with the TB and intake manifold. Any suggestions....aside from different brands would be greatly appreciated.

skunk2 street with 70MM is more then enuff for most setups, what are your power goals?
I dont think a bigger manifold is going to do much other then change the power band a bit
I run a Edelbrock Victor X with Skunk "Alpha" 70mm cast throttle. Cost effective and simple setup.
That isn't to say that the Skunnk2 Ultra series aren't better though.
Since you already have the Street Manifold and 70mm, just run it and see whether you reach your intended power and powerband target. If not, then switch to the Ultra...

Id keep this intake manifold.
If you really want to hit 750 you can allways go ***** deep and go for a gato/magnus or even mod yours to make it dual plenum wrc style.

For 700whp a Victor X and Type R throttle body would be just fine. Since you have the 70 I would just stick with that though.
