replace main relay on my 98 Honda accord, due to check engine light was intermittently coming on & off, when the light did come the car started, so i replace the main relay, dunno what happen but the chk engine light don't come on at all and the shifter was stuck in the park position. I was positive it was the main relay… only thing I did not do was disconnect the battery when I replaced the relay, could that cause my problems I'm having now???.. I chk all the fuses it's all good. Do I need another relay??

 

Sounds like somehow you blew a fuse or left something disconnected that you disconnected. Check all fuses.

 

My guess is #47 under hood fuse (20 amp)......press the brake pedal and see if the brake lights come on.

 

Your shifter problem happened to me too. You can take the console off and tear out the lockout so that never happens again. But you may not want to if you have kids because it means you can move the shifter even if the key isnt in the steering column. To unstick the shifter just jam a key or something thin into that small slot next to the shifter.
