Default Confused about setting ignition timing on D15B6

Hello,

I have a 91 CRX HF (D15B6) and I am a bit confused on setting the ignition timing. So I started with jumping the jumper wire inside the cabin. And I set the timing to 14 degrees BTDC (RED) with the timing light gun set to 0 degrees. Then I secured the disturbutor. After that I turned off the ignition and then unhook the jumper wire. I recheck the ignition timing again with the timing gun again with it set to 14 degrees. On the crank pulley, I see that the pointer is pointing on the white mark. But, when I set it back to 0 degrees on the timing gun, it's back on the red line (14 degrees.) Am I missing something here? I thought it was suppose to be the other way around when I set the timing to 14 degrees on the timing gun? Confused?!? Thank you

only set the timing with the jumper in place.
you were done in the first 4 sentences.

after you remove the jumper, the computer will automatically make electronic timing adjustments.
if you try adjusting timing without the jumper, the computer will adjust at the same time and everything goes downhill.

I didn't set the timing again after I set it to 14 degree BTDC and took off the jumper. All I'm asking is that I thought it would be on the red mark 14 degree mark when I took the out the jumper and set the timing gun to 14 degrees. But instead it's on the white TDC mark?

The result you've described is how it should work as far as I know. I have an adjustable timing gun and keeping it at 0 degrees means I line up with the red mark.
