My civic was boosted reverse poles on the battery which was hooked up for about 30 seconds. Now it will start but missfires badly and does not respond to throttle. Just chugs along at 800 rpm. Changed ECU (scoarched cover where it had arched out to the foot gaurd), ICM, Cap, Rotor & Plugs. Getting spark, fuel pressure is good. Checked all fuses are good. Something else was cooked ??? Thanks!!!

 

Prob need to look at some sensors as well. If it won't rev, mass air, TPS. What code is the ECU giving you? Are you sure you have the plug wires on right?

 

Positive the wires are correct. Lots of spark at plugs. If I am reading it correctly, the ecu is flashing 3 times, and the check engine light comes on. That's with replacement ecu.
