HELP
so i have a 89 civic sedan with the d15b2 and im having issues out the ***.
the big one right now is that i just swapped intake manifold off a 88 hatch that i got rid of due to the bottom end going out and now when i hook up the MAP to the intake manifold the idle jumps sky high (5,000) and stays there until i pull the vacuum hose off the intake at which time it drops back down to 1000-1200 which is where its been sitting, i have tried 2 different MAP sensors and the problem is the same, are the MAP bad or is there some other problem? also if anyone happens to be in the north sacramento area thats willing to lend a hand it would be appreciated

37830-PK2-003 is the part number listed for a D15B2 1989 Civic, is that the MAP you're trying to plug in?
are you sure you haven't switched the MAP plug with another plug like the TPS or something? I vaguely remember there being two plugs that can interchange (so you can cross plugs by accident). You need to check a wiring diagram and compare wire colors to the correct component.

Turns out MAP sensor is fine, when we were rebuilding the tb and intake my brother pulled apart a vacuum actuator for the secondaries, that was causes the problem... Swapped it out with the part off the other tb and it fixed everything when we routed the vacuum back the way it is supposed to be
