The tps is already connected, but is the car supposed to die if you unplug the map sensor?

Try switching them like i said they both have the same plug, maybe you have the TPS plugged in the map and the map in the TPS.

That other plug thats just sitting there on top of the intake coupler ^^ looks like it might be for the IACV or the IAT sensor on the intake manifold.

Ok sometimes the wires are torn from the harness and have more room to move but thats not the case as you say so we can eliminate that. And yes your engine should die with the map disconnected.

It should go to that or the IAT sensor. unless its a swapped engine like a ls or C5 swap using a gsr engine harness which leaves a few sensors that are not used.

But is your main problem just figuring out where that plugs too? how does the engine perform?

Yes it can very well be the reason in fact i bet you 99.9 % it is.

Your cell is on for the knock sensor cause you probably don't have it connected? i mean is the sensor plugged in? have you even checked?

Get it Tuned and i believe the tuner can eliminate the knock sensor.

Try cleaning out the IACV. might help it idle better and not die on you.
