Hello there.
My first post in this forum, sadly it's nothing good to talk about.
I bought a Honda Civic EK3, D15Z6 (econo v-tec). It has extremely bad MPG though, talking about 15L/100km LPG.
The LPG system is fine, however upon checking the CEL by doing the bridge trick on the 2-pin connector, I get 2 codes -
16 and 61. 16 is for the fuel injectors and I have no idea whats wrong with them.
61 is the oxygen sensor. There's the following problem though:
My exhaust manifold is changed from stock to 4-2-1 from D16Z6. I used the D16Z6 oxygen sensor therefore.
The old exhaust manifold had the catalytic converter on it, therefore when we changed the manifolds - we got rid of the catalytic converter.
I've placed my old oxygen sensor (from my original manifold) back on the D16 manifold and I still have the same code and the mileage problems.
What I suspect:
Both of my oxygen sensors are horrible. I think that because first, one is for D16, not D15 which is me, and second - the one I have for D15 is with 1 cable. I saw oxygen sensors that have 4 - including heating. Mine has only 1 cable, so I think that the whole oxygen sensor isnt even for this car/ is universal/whatever.
Here are pictures:
The connector The cable itself
My car problems are the following:
High idle (1100rpm)
Car responds badly when pressing the acceleration pedal - it jerks a few times before going in track, same when releasing the pedal - only in 2nd and 1st gear.
Max speed - 185km/h on downhill + 100 octane gasoline (same max speed on LPG) ?? It requires the car a few kilometers of downhill in order to reach 185km/h! The car after 160km/h is very, very bad in accelerating further - it takes ages!
Horrible MPG - 15/100 ! (LPG)
-- Sorry for using KMH's and KM's, I'm from Eastern Europe, therefore that's the units I'm used to :/
Dude, you have a 1.5l engine and you're complaining that it's slow to get to 115mph? Maybe that's why you have bad gas mileage, you're trying to do top speed runs in a stock Civic.

I'd like if you do not comment when you have no idea what's going on in that engine. People with this engine, stock, easily top out 205km/h.
I'm talking about gas mileage numbers in which I've driven ONLY, and ONLY in the ECONO mode. Thank you.
