Icon2 00 Civic LX - Finding clicking noise (another one)

I need help pinpointing this clicking noise. I've done a valve adjustment twice (second time for verification of first time). But to illustrate the issue, whether cold start or not, the clicking is apparent during idle. Then as I put the car in drive (moving or stationary), the clicking noticeably slows down in frequency. It will speed up as I begin to accelerate.
Any idea where this can be coming from? Is this normal?

My alternator causes an almost valve tick exhaust leak noise. Stupid remanufactured onee still makes that noise

Only way to know where it's coming from is to buy a mechanics stethoscope and listen for noises on the part itself

I've actually tried doing this already, and on different days. I never can seem to pinpoint because it's like the sound is circulating to different areas. The main areas that I kind of pinpointed were around the exhaust and intake manifold, with more emphasis on intake side. I would finalize and say it's inside the engine, but I wanted to hears other's opinions.

Some valve noise is normal, even when properly adjusted. It was never intended to be quiet like a luxury car.

You could take the belts off so the alternator etc do not turn and start the engine, if the noise is still there it's not those.

Check for exhaust leaks by having someone block the tailpipe with a rag while the engine idles and you listen under the hood. Pressure should build up quietly. Exhaust leaks will make a hissing sound.
