The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor has two wires: a Red/Wht wire and a Grn/Blu wire.

Would they be coming out of the main wiring harness?

Just looked at it the red\white green\blue wires are plugged into my thermostat sensor.. So what would be the wire colors that SHOULD be plugged into my thermostat area?

This ECT sensor harness connector is part of the engine harness as shown in the attached image.

The engine coolant temperature switch (aka fan switch A) wires are green and black.

Thank you very much for the feedback.
I found the connector with the green and black wires but it's plugged into a different sensor any way you could tell me what sensor this is and what wire should be plugged into it

it seems all these plugs are in the wrong places
any idea what sensor that is?
Or what wire colors the connector that should be plugged into it has

the engine coolant temperature sensor wire is plugged into the thermostat housing, and the connector that should be plugged into the thermostat housing is connected to this other sensor. So when I connect them to where they're supposed to be I will be missing the connector for this other sensor. What are the wire colors on the connector that SHOULD be plugged where the green connector is?

What are the codes you are getting?

Yes, the green plastic connector should be on the t-stat housing and the grey plastic one to the ECT under the dist....

Looks like someone has swapped engines in this car. The 96-97 Accord v-tec's do not use a v-tec oil pressure switch where the 94-95 Accord's did

So what I'm saying/thinking is that you would leave the v-tec oil pressure switch open/nothing plugged into it.

the only code is for the cyp sensor. Spark plugs look good. Do I need to clear the codes after I install the new distributor or before? I guess I thought that if I put the new distributor on the code would just go away

Josh, those two connectors are backwards. Swap them back.
