ECT sensor code - possible broken wire? (solved)
So i got a 2000 civic lx with a b16 harness and a chipped p28 ecu with jumper harness. I got a check engine light for coolant temp sensor. All possible sensors are disabled on the ecu, when i got the harness on a old b16 engine, i got the same cel for coolant temp sensor, and iacv on a stock p2t si ecu. Its a new sensor. The pinout for the harness for coolant temp sensor is C26 i believe, and its a red and white wire. I disconnected the sensor and ran a wire from the black wire on the connector to my positive post on the battery, and i put my test light at the harness plug to see if i get power from the wire, and i didnt. I tried the black/blue wire and it sparked up so i know that wire is the wire with juice.. are the wires piggy backed from the coolant temp sensor to the iacv, to the o2 sensor? Can i run my own geound wire?

You should look at the obd2b pinout diagrams and use a dmm to confirm continuity from the ecu pin to the plug, not apply voltage and **** it up.
What color is the wires?i got a black wire and a blue with a black strip.. is that the right connector? I know the vtec plug is the same, but i dont think i got it mixed up.
I did some googling, and i went outside to my car and saw i had the vtec plug switched with the ect plug. No more check engine light! Thanks @ronj... If you can go to engine build, im going to update it now with a potential issue, thats be greaaaaat!
