no injector pulse - help please!
Hi all,
I'm Steve from Belgium and I've got a '00 DC2 Integra Type R.
I drove it last week, but now it doesn't come alive anymore, it just spins.
I've done some basic checks, but i've got no idea anymore now.
- it has good spark on all 4
- the fuel pump primes ok with ignition on, and there is fuel pressure in the rail.
- the injectors are not spraying, but I do get 12v to them with ignition on
- the injection relay is fine, clicks 3 times (once on ignition, one when check engine goes out, and when it's started... and clicks again when key turned of)
- I've read the blink codes and nothing except a code 81 (something to do with abs?)
So anyone got any ideas why it won't give injectors pulse? Anything else to check?
Many thanks in advance!

Try putting an led test light on the injector plugs to see if its pusling on and off as you crank the car. If its not flashing you will need injectors. I highly doubt all four injectors are bad. It would be nice to have a Honda HDS so you can see the pgm-fi data.
If I remeber correctly if you do not have signal coming from the CKF or CMP, it will not pulse the injectors.

Hi, thanks for the input.
I tested with a light and it doesn't pulse the injectors while cranking, so clearly no signal.
I will have to check if there is CKF and CMP signal.
Any info on how those cables run, what pins?...

The injectors are fired by ground. Check the grounds. Also look in the floor for any little pieces of black rubber. The clutch neutral switch has a stopper that will fall apart due to age.
If you can, borrow an OBD1 ECU with adapter harness from someone else and seeeif it will start with that. If it does, then it might be the immobilizer that has died and needs to be replaced.
Injectors are controlled by the ecu. It completes the circuit by giving it ground. It needs signals from the CMP and/or CKF to know when to pulse it. You do have a point about the ground. I would also check for timing while at it.
