No Crank, No Start, No Nothing, Dash lights come on
I have a 98 civic that i rebuild the motor in. It ran before taking the motor out and after installing the rebuilt one I get nothing. The light come on the dash lights come on, but when trying to start I get absolutely nothing not even a click. I have check all fuses and all connections and all is good. I tried doing the jumper test going from battery to solinoid and nothing. I have test the starter at my local part store and it test fine. I am at a complete loss. I have spent hours searching with no luck. The transmission is an automatic. If that helps anyone who can help me.
Did you verify that the battery is good by testing it at the auto parts store?
If using a constant power wire to the blue or small connector on the starter did nothing I would suspect a bad battery. The starter should atleast click to indicate the gears extension to contact the flywheel

I tried a different battery and volt tested, came back at 12.0v. I put that one in and at the same time used jumper cables from my wifes car to mine. Still nothing when i try to start from inside, but I did get the started to engage using a jumper. I'm going to have to pull the motor back out, when the started engaged it just spun and motor did not. I was able to get the starter to spin about 3 times then it just stopped. Redid all of my battery and jumper cable connection and for about 15 minutes I get nothing again, then tried again and this time when jumping from battery to solenoid the cooling fan turns on, and the started does nothing again. This car is really pissing me off and testing my knowledge lol
