engine not starting

Icon2 engine not starting

Yea I know I should search but it didnt help so here goes..

I just put the motor in my car and everything connected and now when I go start it..it cranks over slow and thats it..only the cel and e-brake lights come on..no battery or oil etc.. so what is it?

gearbox ground good.thermostat ground good..what else is there???


help plz

maybe your starter is going out? are you getting spark, fuel, and good compression?

I can try another starter 2moro..but that dont explain the other dash lights not comin on.


to me i thought it was the gearbox ground but apparently not...ran it straight to the battery and same thing..

do u know that the motors good..turned it over by hand?? checked timing? all that gud stuff?? yea its usually grounds..does ur battery have full power??

tried two different batteries.. I can get the motor turn over if I kee ptryin start it but not all the dash lights on and it doesnt start..just rolls over slow.

wut im sayin is if u try turning it over by hand at the crank and its binding or not turnin over freely then the starter isnt gonna start it..wut motor are u putting in wut car..???

do u have your valve cover ground hooked up??? make an extra ground just to be sure..this isnt the best method but it will quickly tell u if u have enough grounds..take sum jumper cables...use just the negative side and go straite from the ground on the battery to a ground in the engine bay..if it starts up no problem then u know u dont have enough grounds..

changed starter and ran straight grounds from the starter housing and the thermostat ground to the battery.. same thing happens.

valve cove ground is good.just replaced it.


IDK..help!!!

I wanna think its grounds but idk... changed the connection by the thermostat with a new ring terminal.no help.

when i ran jumper cables from the gearbox ground point to the battery and the thermostat ground to battery i got the battery light came on the cluster.but still no oil light.

tried a different battery,no different.

somebody??

compression is good its a fresh motor. no spark but fuel pump is priming.
