Default Help! Broken vehicle speed sensor

So long story short, my speedometer went out on my em1
ordered new replacement one. Seems like a strait forward install but not so. Removed the 10mm bolt and was trying to pull sensor
well the unthinkable happened the sensor snapped off and leaving a portion still mounted in the transmission. My question is what are you're options on how to extract the left over damaged sensor.

It will not pull out..

any input please

You'll have to be creative with this one and hope to god the tidbits don't damage your tranny in any way.

What convinced you that a bad VSS caused your speedometer to stop working?

Post clear pictures of broken VSS in transmission.

Take a metal rod, put some epoxy on the end, stick it in the hole so it bonds to the VSS, then pull it out.

Maybe the gear in the transmission the drives the VSS is the problem.

Or just maybe the VSS was never the problem because no diagnostic tests were done?

Think it's the engine harness issue, 97 civic hatch using the wire harness for a 99 b16a2 only two plug harness, looking for a ex 96-98 harness got the car this ways it's going to be a work in process

Mixing OBD2a and OBD2b harnesses is risky, but do some diagnostic tests rather than throwing parts at the problem. Turn your VSS wild goose chase into a learning moment.
