What do you guys think of my BOOSTED setup?
Well i have finally decided that this is the potential setup im going to run with i have managed to sell off all of my existing N/A setup parts and have decided to go with the following. Now if there is anything that you guys would change let me know cause i am still willing to consider other options....
LS/VTEC TURBO -
What i have already....
b16 head ported/polished
3 angle valve job
ITR intake manifold
Hondata intake gasket
Skunk2 springs/retainers
GS-R oil pump
GS-R waterpump
GS-R timing belt
GS-R oil pan
ARP headstuds
Z10 crank girdle
Holley fuel pump
JDM B16 S1 tranny
Hondata stage 2
What im going to add....
50 trim T3/T04E
Drag manifold
Tial 35mm wastegate
720cc injectors
Tial blow off valve
Intercooler (custom)
Honadata stage 2b
SRP 9:1 pistons
tell me what you guys think.

arp hardware on that lsvtec
thanks

Do you actually know how much all of that stuff costs? I'm just asking cuz u've been asking alot of newb/stupid quetions like "Can i use NOS on my ls/vtec?"
The nitrous Q's were cause i was getting a great deal on the kit that's all.
Isn't that what the boards for? to ask questions and get knowledgable feedback?
Anyway continue with my thread please!
i think you should ditch the drag manifold... they're old and outdated
i reccomend full-race manifolds, no cracking, beefy, and they make power
you should also consider a gs-r head over b16a if its not too late

that's funny, i'm sure alot of people come to ask about a setup first, because they'd like other peoples input first. If your new and don't know alot(i'm not saying that you don't know anything gen2teg) , you don't want to go to a shop and ask, they might dick you around because they know you don't know what they're talking about. Also, i got that kinda comment awhile back when i asked about my plans. My car is finally done and everything i wanted is on it.
gauges if you don't already have them.
turbo timer
profec b
3" exhaust and flexpipe
wideband for tuning at part throttle with those 720cc's
new rods to go with those SRP's?
high flow fuel rail?
fpr?
clutch if you didn't get one yet?
good luck.

A b16a head flows better than the gsr head. ANd the gsr head will raise compression (this can be good or bad, depending on your setup).

I would consider a bigger trim turbo, or maybe a t3 turbo 60-1 trim so you can get the full potential out of the motor.

I really don't know what difference the trim make can someone tell me please?

hey what up fellow G2IC bro.
i recommend this thread as some good readin' for a rainy day. everything you ever wanted to know about how to pick the right turbo for your planned boost level and engine.
btw........might wanna have your calculator handy.

B16 head doesn't out flow the gsr head!
yes it does, and how do u explain honda using it on the type-r? ANd If you say production costs i'll slap jo0

type r head is a port and polished b16 head

a b16 head will not work as well as a GSR head in boosted applications when flow quality is not as important as sheer quantity (turbo)
GSR heads have ports that are directed straight down towards the piston whereas b16s are more of a gradual curve with a long swooping short turn radius.
ffgaeson is right
he has more expereince working with 9.1 sec race cars than 99.99999% of people on this board, right next to tony

Since you already have the p/p B16 head, just stick with that.
What year G2 are you? The reason I ask, Hondata is for 92-93's unless you have a conversion harness and OBD distributor.
