You need to upgrade to a less restrictive exhaust.

Get a 3' piping exhaust and get rid of the converter . Turbo will spool quicker.

stock exhaust is actually bad for a turbo setup.

i thought it would be ok for me

lasted 3 days.

i thought i had a boost leak, but the turbo just wasnt spooling.

edit - when i say bad i mean harmful, since you will have a higher pressure in the exhaust manifold to sustain the same pressure in the intake. higher pressure = proportionally more heat, shortening the life of the turbo, and potentially the engine.

couldnt a lighter flywheel help too. someone said that it makes it spool down too much when u let off but it should spool back up just as quick since its so light right?
oh yes exhaust should be first priority.

as corky bell once said, not an exact qoute but "the best turbo exhaust is no exhaust!" haha back pressure is the enemy of a turbo car. by running a stock exhaust u r not only robbing urself of funfilled horsepowers, creating more lag, but u can potentially damage the turbo and the engine itself.

really??!! thanks for the response guys! i dont have the cash right now for the exhaust but once i do get it i'll do it. i would run with just the downpipe but its way too loud for a daily driven car!. aahahah thanks all!
