Default 96 Civic - power door lock problem

Hey guys so I have a 1996 Honda Civic and I know I'm having lock/electrical problems because of the door harness is there anyway to lock the driver side lock without the electrical ??

I think you pull the door handle and at the same time manually push the lock into the lock position? Try that and report back!

Mine doesn't even lock from the outside my electrical was working for a while and one day my electric locks didn't want to work so there is no way I can lock the driver door

You will probably need to take off the door panel to disconnect the actuator. You could also try removing the fuse for the power locks

The door harness connector from the door going to the dash usually gets cracked and results in a bad ground or crunched wires connecting themselves together.

Here is a writeup I did on the power lock system on the 96-98 cars with the door lock module located inside of the drivers side door

Sounds like door lock actuator is seized, and I am pretty sure the actuator and latch are one unit, but I am also sure if that is the case, you should be able to remove the actuator from the latch then reinstall the latch and it will be "manual" door lock.

OR, hit up your local bone yard, [PicknPull] and get a replacement, [over $90 from the dealer, under $30 at Pick] it is more work to remove the latch and then remove the actuator and then reinstall the latch then to just replace with the whole unit, and you would get your full central locking back. 94
