eg/d16y8 swap - no power
My eg sedan has a d16y8 in it. A problem just developed a few days ago, can't figure it out. I have no power. I can't climb hills, it just slows all the way down to like 20 mph. Barely reaches 3k rpm. I thought maybe the fuel filter was clogged but that wasn't the issue. It is idling as smooth as can be. It is very quiet too. I can't even hear my cold air intake. It's not throwing a code. Sometimes after I crank it up it runs normal for about 5 seconds when I take off in 1st BC I can hear the difference. The end of my muffler fell off yesterday due to my driveway. Could that be part of the issue? It's getting annoying getting passed by semi trucks like I'm sitting still. Does anyone have an idea of what it might be?

See I just got into Hondas this is my first. So I'm still learning. It is a p28 obd1. I haven't done a tune up yet. I just got the motor put in right after Christmas
Will do and yes the CEL works. The o2 sensor been setting it off BC its been unplugged since the swap. I just found someone with a scanner that can scan obd 1. So I'll see if there's any other code other than the o2 sensor. And if not? I'll do the full tune up anyways, maybe even need to change the distributor. But what if by any chance all that don't change a thing?
You don't need a code reader to pull codes.
Pull the CEL codes. Then reset ECU to see which ones return after running engine. Post the codes that return.
It's just prudent to do a tune up after you buy a used car.

Oh yea I just haven't got around to doing it yet BC didn't seem like it needed one which sounds kind of dumb lol but that's what I normally do with used vehicles is go ahead and do a tune up, change thermostat, and a few other things.
