Default AN fittings- weld on, metals, method

Hello all,

Not much of a welder myself, though I have tinkered with friends TIG and MIG machines a bit. That being said, I am ordering some AN fittings for a turbo build. I would like your take on what metals, methods, and tips would be best for success. The engine is a D16Z6- stock aluminum valve cover.. I believe the oil pan is aluminum as well. I will be welding two fittings onto the valve cover and one return line fitting into the pan. Open to suggestions on where to get quality fittings as well if anyone has recommendations. I'm thinking about ordering premade, proper length hoses already compression crimped to avoid the hassles of fraying and poor sealing ends. Let's hear it. Thanks.

To any moderator: I did post on this topic within the welding/fabrication forum as well, but think I'd have more support and activity within the FI forum.

The pan on a stock Z6 is steel. So u will need 1 steel weld on fitting for that, and the two aluminum for the vc.
Jegs or wherever, take your pick..they have all prices.
I like the idea of the crimped hoses, or push-loc.
