mystery plug w/mystery jump
2 white, 1 red, 1 blue.
Hopefully it goes without saying that, upon discovering this, I carefully searched for a possible place for it to plug into and didn't find one. My first instinct was to yank the jump out, but, since I don't know wth the thing is for in the first place, I just left it in there.

i think thats your clutch start relay. the jumper is probably so you can still start the car w/o pressing in the clutch.

Yes, that is the connector for the starter relay.
The wire colors are 2 blk/wht, 1 Blk/Red, and 1 Blu/Blk.
The jumper allows the car to be started without the clutch being depressed and the need for the starter relay.
