I recently had problems with CEL code 23, I got a new knock sensor, put it in and every now and then the CEL comes on.. It doesn't happen ALL the time.. It usually happens when I am in 5th gear going 90kms. I am pretty sure my exhaust manifold needs to be placed and kind of leaning on that being the problem. Though the car seems to respond really well under throttle, if I use high revs going through the lower gears it doesn't seem to come on at all. No idea why, this to me is stupid and annoying and really want to try and get some advice to fix the problem.

Also my cruise control has stopped work, the master light turns on at the cruise control button but it won't set the cruise control when I am trying to use it. It's worked before, don't use it often but I do use it and now it's just not working

Code 23 (P0325) Is a short in the knock sensor (KS) circuit.

Where this seems to be intermittent. I would first look for a loose connection or bare wire(s) in the circuit. Anywhere between the KS and the ECU.

Do you have access to a multimeter and knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, testing a circuit for a short and continuity? If not you may want to take it to a shop or find a friend to help you out.

As far as the cruise control goes, it will not engage if the CEL is on. Aside from that you could check the fuse(s)
