it was hessitating out of nowhere yesterday and i had to struggle for it to turn on, and just checked the CEL today and got 23, anyone know what it is?

 

never mind, found it......but i doubt this is the problem, doesnt make any sense...

23 Knock sensor circuit Open or short in Knock sensor circuit, defective Knock sensor circuit

 

Two things to check.... make sure your knocksensor itself it still good, but more common, check the wire(s) leading from the knock sensor to the ECU and make sure that it's not shorting out somewhere. If it's fine, then it's still good to rerun a 14-18 AWG wire directly from the knock sensor, directly to the ECU so there's no breaks in the line. Usually this clears up the problem unless your knock sensor itself is bad (which I've also seen).

 

turns out i was throwing code #3, wtf was i thinking?

anyhoos changed MapSensor, and still throwin the code....grrrr, time to check for a short somewhere

you reset the ecu after you changed it..... disconnect the negative fer couple min.
