Default Boost=hp question, Im buying a built b16a2, how much boost to get 300+ hp, I'll list the mods, give

b16a2, Block guard, forged pistons (9:1) Forged Rods, Type R intake manifold, drag kit with t3/t4. Need to upgrade my injectors and pump and find a good managment system wich I would also love suggestions on?? How much boost with that engine setup and the right fueling to hit 300+ whp??? I have a jdm b16 with 7psi, type r trans, Type R intake manifold in my 96 hatch and this bitch pulls hard but I want some serrious power Im trying to run things around here! Give me your suggestions.

predicts ~12 psi would be needed to hit the 290-310 whp mark.

Hondata for Engine management

if you're gonna shoot for 300, you might as well shoot for more... i know 300 hp around here won't get you far... too many fast people!

unless you like stoping all the time to burn the hondata chip to get it tuned properly. if you have the money go with the aem stand alone or motec the aem is about 1to 1500 and the motec is about 2 plus the harness another g. but they are both worth the money.

This might be a nil question, but what kind of pistons do you have that yeild 9:1 in a B16A motor?

As far as a know the only company that makes that stock shelf is SRP? I think?

As far as your motor, I think it will make 300 with 12-14 PSI.

Add a JG intake manifold, and you might see it from 10-12.

Here is my suggestion. Take off the type R tranny and put on an ls, you will be in boost longer. I bet your not in boost that long.

Also, Wiseco makes an 81.5 mm bore FlatTop that yields ~9.2:1 in the B16A.. #6542M815

Thats what was with all those emails asking you which pistons you were using in my turbo block, I thought you might of been going with those pistons.

Thanks for the help, I'd love to hear your setup lists and what your running and your hp+Tq numbers?? Also If I can make 300 or so with around 12-14 psi with that built motor, What do you guestimate my Power numbers to be as of right now with a stock b16 with 7 psi and the only other mod as far as performance to the engine is a type R intake manifold? it though it would be around 230 or so to the wheels, So another 7 psi is gonna give me a 70 or so hp increase to the wheels? Ooh and another real quick, how about trap speeds they are around 106/107 right now?? How about with the 14 psi?

I run a 9.1 set up as well on my b16 arias flat top pistons. Ls tranny will not make that big of a difference unless you plan on running 150mph or faster.
