i have a d15b dual vtec in my 2000 honda civic ex , when i bought it i had no clue about the engine or anything about the car , now im more enlightened and i have a d15b dual vtec engine and everything eles is p2p like torque, ecu, and the auto transmission is for the y8 engine , i just bought a p2j-j81 ecu and my car wouldn't switch gears to reverse or anything , i heard i need a cvt transmission from an hx model , could anyone help me and lead me in the right direction ? the right ecu, and right transmission? if i dont already have the right information i would really like to get the vtec e and vtec power going already

 

There is no right ecu for this type of configuration. That engine requires a p2j ecu, that transmission requires a p2p ecu. Too much of a hassle.

 

yeah it is a hassle, ima have to go with the cvt tranny then i guess or just leave it p2p everything except the 3 stage engine , but its no fun for dual vtec if you cant use it
