Only Q i have is that the ridge on the W/G is very very close to the protruding alloy on the block ( I think that is a water way there?)

Could i shave part of this alloy down? Or is it too thin?

Jdl makes good stuff

Youre going to have to get a better pic of the wastegate and block area

It's certainly close, but not touching. What do we think, enough of a gap?

If i was in this situation

I would paint the block where the wastegate actuator is

Then run it for a few miles

Check to see if it hit the block at all.

I think youre fine

Gt2871r .64 ar. With the bigger inducer and exducer.

Looking for 300 bhp initially on the 7psi Spring with s little boost control. And looking to wind it up and go for 375-400 which I think will be the max of the turbo.

The turbo manifold will expand the more heat you give it. Expect to see significant change.
I would do the paint mark trick as turbohatch96y7 mentioned.

yes, but the angle of that expansion is down and out, bringing it further away from the block, not closer. I think he'll be ok. but it would be a good idea still to paint it and check after a bit of driving to see if it is touching at any time. it's close enough to the block that engine vibration alone could make it touch, but I doubt it. if it does touch, you could just use 2 exhaust mani gaskets, it will bring it out away from the block the same amount as the gasket is thick

I wouldnt use two gaskets

"Let it eat" means

If it hits the block let it make its own room lol

Turn up the boost and make power. It prob won't rub and if it does it'll be very minimal
And wear its own clearance.

Thanks for the input people ..

I'll use the paint idea, to see whether it rubs ..

Now to see whether this turbo will actually make any power :-/
