Default Speedo/Vtec not working.

So I have a 97 ex coupe with a b16a2 swap in it.. The speedo stays at 20 mph or jumps around sometimes I have no check engine light at all until I try to go over 5500 rpm which is vtec engagement.. Also I just replaced the speed sensor in the transmission because I thought it was that.. any help would be appreciated

Give details about how you did the swap.

Also, post the CEL codes and the ECU code.

Does the odometer roll steady and accurately? If so the problem must be the speedometer head itself, since both functions use the same sensor and wiring.
