I took my CRV in for an oil change to the dealership this past Friday. They do an MPI every time a vehicle is brought in for this sort of procedure, and during this they found that a small animal had been nesting in the engine compartment and chewing on some of the wires. The check engine light had come on recently (P0328; no symptoms that I've noticed for that code though) and they thought at a glance that this could be the reason for that.
Before I pay more money to have this problem diagnosed, I'm just wondering if anybody could tell me what exactly was damaged, as per the picture? I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at and I'd just like to get a rough estimate of what the cost could be to get this fixed.
Rough ball park would be 2 hours of labor based on the picture. Depending on the labor rate will dictate the price. I would recommend just asking your local shop to repair the wiring, and not diag the code. After the wiring is repaired clear the code yourself and see if it comes back.
