Hey whats up honda tech! Im new to this but i need help. So my civics been giving me this problem for some time now but it comes and goes. I put the key in the ignition and i turn it and all i get is a click and i have to turn it multiple times in order for it to start. Ive replaced the starter with a brand new one. Also sometimes when my bass hits my lights start to dim. Last night for the first time the car wouldnt start but everything turned over and i had to sit there and wait like an hour and it turned over just fine. This problem is really starting to irritate me. If anyone can help please thanks in advance.

 

Answer these questions:

1) CEL codes?
2) Bright white spark at all 4 plugs?
3) Fuel pump primes?
4) Mechanical timing off?

 

No CEL codes
Not sure about the spark plugs but i havent had these spark plugs very long.
Yes my fuel pump primes
Timing Shouldnt be off either cuz we checked it before we put motor in.

 

Loose connections at the battery are a very common reason for failing to crank, sometimes. Also bad connections of the main ground wire.

If you have a big sound system you should look into the so-called "big three upgrade".

 

Ive checked and cleaned all my connections. My sound system is nothing big lol.

How do you know there are no CEL codes?

The timing belt could have skipped a tooth or snapped since it was originally installed. Check it again.
