I was wondering if anyone has ran into this issue and found a fix for it... I have a P28 with Hondata S300. Last week I was able to load the program go online and download the map with no issue (I was getting it ready to get tuned) after taking it to get tuned I noticed I cannot go online and download the map. It detects the ECU being connected to the computer but when I try downloading it I get this error on version 2.5.0 and with the most current version 2.5.2 it just closes the program. I have tried everything possible from re-installing the program several times to using a different operating system and a different laptop but I get the same error. I contacted my tuner and he said he did not lock the tune.... Any ideas what you guys think it might be? Has anyone dealt with this before? Any info would be of great help. Thanks!

 

after the ecu is connected, you click the lightning bolt , then download from ecu. is that what your saying.

 

After I connect the ECU the lightning bolt comes on and it say the ECU has been detected after that I go to the tab that says "Online" and then a list drops down and I chose the option "Download" (to download the map) and when I do is when I get this error.

 

Run the app in a compatible version, pick one.

 

Tried that too Tony and still didn't work... IDK if its a bug or somehow the S300 is locked out

 

I've recently used smanager with windows xp, 7, and 8. all work fine. version of windows shouldnt matter.

I dont remember the specifics, but you may need to update the drivers for smanager, or update the drivers for your usb ports. or try a different usb cable

 

also see if hondata tech support might offer some sort of help...its a loooong shot....
