Wouldn't that prevent them from breathing good? Making them run a little hotter?

That should be the biggest worry actually... whats the use of spending all the money on a motor, have it powdercoated, and then have it overheat... just money wasted...

To get the electrical grounds to work, just scrape away the powdercoat in the area you will have grounds going to... the lines will cover the little bits of powdercoat you flake off...

I dont think that would be that great of an idea. Plus, why would you? Just get the valve cover powdercoated if you want some color under there. You can barely even see the block when everything is in there anyways. Plus, the heat issue as mentioned could be a problem. Not sure how much heat the paint would hold in, but why risk it.

Why would Powdercoating do anything bad? Are you serious?

V8 Guys have painted their blocks for decades.

Powercoating is the same thing, just more durable.

Powdercoating is a bit thicker and the reason it sticks so well is because its particles fit tighter, making it harder for air to come in and out between the particles... where as regular ol' paint is alot looser and prone to cracking and flaking... get what Im saying?
