I have installed a zc single cam vtec engine on my 99 civic lx... let me tell you where I'm at with it... I bought a distributor for it and some plugs don't seem to match with my old wire harness at least one of them... now the engine turns but wont start.. can that one plug be the issue? do I have to change the wire harness out? if so from what car? what can the issues be? please help as in im new to all this..

[QUOTE=eHMxhACk;50743399]Your VTEC solenoid isn't missing. It's the oil pressure switch that is.
The green plug pictured below is the oil pressure switch. It's part of the VTEC solenoid.
Oo right... Thankx... My bad the one that comes out of the block is also missing. other than that everything is good, just wanna know why isnt it turning on...
Rule of thumb, match distributor to the ECU to keep things simple. I believe OBD1 to OBD2A wiring is the same but they made a single plug for the newer distributor. The OBD2B wiring difference I believe is the elimination of tach signal. You also have a difference of flange too if that ZC has the 92-95 "P08" head.
With that said, I'm not near my car right now but I believe the smaller of the two plugs for an OBD1 distributor has the power wire. Your distributor pictured doesn't have anything connected to this plug. That might explain why your car won't start at the moment.
