How do you disable the immobilizer on an R ecu?
i will be buying a 98 spec JDM ITR swap for my EF, but will not be using the ecu (running it OBD0). How do I disable the immobilizer? How much are these ecu's worth?
so what is that ecu worth? does it have different fuel and ignition curves than the USDM ITR ecu? Can newer civic si use this ecu?
Sorry but people on here are not gonna tell you how to disable the immobilizer they are to afraid of getting there car stolen.

theres an adapter harness you can make, so you can unplug the R ecu and plug one in that doesnt have it, starts right up, key or not
right?!
while we're at it, would you like our addresses!!

Ditch the ECU (SPeed limiter on all JDM ecu's). Get a re chipped P-28 and a USDM vtec solenoid and drive.
98 ECU's don't have immobilizers.
Guys here won't tell how to do something to your swap (Assuming its legit) that could potentially used against them. They have a hard enough time holding on to their cars with out some lazy *** stealing them anyway.

I got the immobilizer removed from my 2000 ITR ECU and the ECU is now worthless. It works, the car runs, but the check engine light is on all the time and it doesn't throw codes anymore.
guys, i understand the whole thing with getting your car stolen. but i can vouch for this guy and his intent. he is not out to steal anybody's car and is just doing all the research for this swap. thanks.

Dont bother with an ITR ECU if you don't already have an immobilizer equipped car. Get a 98 ECU or a JDM ecu or a KENJI ECU.

This is How

Now if you think that someone is going to steal your car and try defeating the immobilizer by cracking the ECU open and DeSoldering a Board off of the ECU then you need a Reality Check. There are Much easier ways to start a car with an Immobilizer system which anyone with a slight bit of knowledge can figure out. Obviously I'm not going to mention how to do that.
