Default gsr head

Hey new to this site. Just wondering how much would I be able to get for a complete gsr head except with the v tec solenoid.

Or for a ls block and ls tranny with a gsr head??

For the head, maybe 150-250.
For the block, transmission, and gsr head probably 400-500.
I guess it also depends what kind of shape these items are in.

Around the $250 mark for just a VTEC head here in Toronto, engine and trans combos are around the $700 mark

Yea same around here in CA iv seen them go as high as $500 for a complete head in working condition but most are dammaged and go for half that and most are incomplete too.

Reminds me when I found a B16 head for $150 used and i pulled off the manifold to find it was ported and found a stamp from JG, had the head cleaned and rebuilt and sold it for i think $1,100 that was a great find!

Well I still have it on my car that I'm using as a daily but I'm just trying to get something else. It worked great I just didn't have the v tec wired. Block and tranny I barely rebuilt it a couple months ago.

It also depends how fast you want to sell it. a cheaper asking price will help you move it quicker.

in my opinion the ls block and ls trans arent worth much. You can go to a junkyard and get both those items for around 250 dollars. But if yours are rebuilt they may be worth more.

Better to sell the engine complete than parted out imo.

I was lucky this way too. Found a guy getting out of the games, selling off a built b18c that threw a rod bearing for the 2nd time I guess. Sold me the complete block for $500. I just parted it. The head was ported and all Skunk2 vales, retainers and cams installed. Got $1100 for the head alone. Skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body got me another $350, plus all the new parts still good on the bottom end netted a couple bucks......there are some deals out there

LOL not that it has anything to do with this thread again but this reminds me of a time i was on craigslist and was looking for a working starter, found one being parted from a blown engine. I go there its some young stoner kid that had a del sol with a gsr swap and threw a rod. I took out the starter and was talking to the kid and he had no love for the car nor knew much about it seemed to me, so since i had all my tools i talked him into selling me the trans and head for $500, the head had a skunk2 pro series manifold idk how i talked him into it i think i broke down an average labor rate a mech would charge to remove your head and trans and told him im saving him some money and he agreed so i pulled the head off and trans and took the clutch too, the rest of the car was gutted and cob webbed up and was almost stripped so i eneded up selling those and made a few hundred bucks lol it was a great day cause i had the cash to spend at the time and it worked out great.
