The labor will be expensive. My guess... $200ish? Maybe more. They will likely have to re-fill the transmission also.
Axles should be between $50-80.

Wait....I was talking about USD, BTW. Not CAD.
They'll probably book you for 3 hrs or so.
Try calling around. But my guess is 3hrs book time. Independents around here do between $60-90/hr.

You really don't need to replace the axles just because of a ripped boot. You can drive with a ripped boot for many many miles and never experience any kind of knocking noise. It takes a whole lot to wear out a CV joint. Replacing the axle boot was one of the first things I had to do to my car when I was 16. It was actually really easy. One suggestion is to only replace the boot rather than going ahead and taking apart and regreasing the joint. It was a real pain in the *** to put back together. Also, much easier to use big hose clamps rather than the supplied clamps. You won't have to refill the transmission, by jacking up the one side of the car, all the fluid pools to the opposite side of the car and very little will come out. Just my two cents. I believe in building, not buying.
They also have boots you can put on without even taking the axle out. It's two pieces you glue together around the axle.

Thanks for the Comeback.. I've seen those Boot Kits... When the Safety was done our Mechanic said it could cost as much as $275.00 from just the Boot or the CV Joint, labor included.. And he did say if we hear Noises coming from the Joint ,bring the car in and he'd discuss how best to fix..lol..
Those split boots are junk. Hose clamps are not the correct fastener for the boots, if you use the correct $10 tool on the bands that come with the kit they are not hard to work with at all.
I agree with replacing the boot instead of the whole axle, especially if it's an original factory axle. The cheapo parts store ones are pretty junky and getting worse.
Is it an inner or an outer boot that needs replacement? Is it an original axle? How many miles on it? Condition other than a torn boot? Those are the things that factor in to whether you repair or replace.

@spAdam.. Thanks for the Comeback.. We'll see which Direction our Mechanic takes , as I said previously the extreme cost Will Be $275.00.
