Default Help! Crankshaft position sensor problem

I recently bought a 90 integra shell and put my b18b motor in it. Almost everything seems to be connected. The problem is that the car cranks but wont turn over, then I noticed that the crankshaft sensor was just hanging on the side of the crank pulley not connected to anything. I tried feeling around and searching the internet but I couldn't figure out where to plug the connector. If someone could please tell me, it would be very much appreciated. Ive been thinking that maybe I'm just missing the part where its supposed to connect to, but can't figure out the specific name. Every time I search online, I only see pictures of the part I already have( the wire that's connected under the pulley with the connector at the other end. Have been trying to figure it out the past couple days and its driving me nuts.

It mounts behind the pulley which is going to have to come off to put it back on, it won't stop the car from starting tho that's another issue. Yes the picture is a D16 but it's the same on a b-series.

Assuming your wiring harness and ecu are original OBD0 components, your wiring won't have a connection for it and your ecu won't look for it. Unless you've converted to OBD2 for some reason that sensor isn't preventing your car from starting and is completely unused.

Oh thank you, I'm sure it's still obd0. So now the problem is finding out why my engine wont turn over

Start with the basics. Check fuel, spark and timing. There's a good "car won't start" thread floating around if you search for it. Probably in the FAQs.

Thanks again. the fuel pump, timing belt and tensioner I just changed, also retimed/aligned the cam and crank, and replaced my tension wires and spark plugs but I haven't tested if it it actually sparks. I'll probably do that when I have the chance. The weirdest thing is when I turn the key to the 3rd or on postion it starts to crank by itself without me going to the 4th position and without me stepping on the clutch at all, so I'm replacing the bottom clutch switch becuase its cracked, but I also think something is wrong with my ignition cylinder
