D15b2 mini-me questions
Hi, recently ive gotten my d15b2 with a z6 head up and running. Ive been driving it for a good month or so. Ive noticed a few things and im trying to make sense of it. Ive found scattered information all around.
Im currently running a chipped p06 which runs identical to a p28 or so ive been told. I bought the kit and installed it.
My car is running rich for sure when cold, has a slight erratic idle sometimes, starts at 2k and drops. Purge ??
The tutorial i used for the the MiniMe said to use the zfr6 plugs and a z6 belt.
Can anyone confirm this information is correct for a usdm d15b2 block mated with a z6 head ? Post was from 2003.
Ive noticed my new belt seems sorta lose after only a few hundred miles, and mileage has been somewhat shitty. Somewhere i saw that people recommend using zfr4 or 5 but they are hotter, not colder. Colder is suppose to be better for higher compression.
Another thing im noticing is excessive tappet noise, readjusted 2 times.
Running with .001 tighter clearance to try and compensate. Goes away mostly after getting to temp. Timing mark is dead center.
Information much appreciated, thx.
