REBUILT MOTOR/MISFIRE#2 HELP PLEASE
HI Guys,
recently I pickd up a b18c1 block, replaced bolts with arp (headstuds/rod bolts)
new water pump/oil. pump, etc... block guard
when I start the car every header gets warmed up and hot EXCEPT CYLINDER 2, FROM DIZZY SIDE WORKING TOWARDS THE RIGHT...
TOOK THE head off and had a machine shop do a leakdown test..inspected and no issues...
new headgasket and torqued back down..
THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST AND MY B18C1 SOUNDS LIKE A SUBARU...
WHEN I START IT A PUFF OF WHITE SMOKE COMES OUT AND THEN GOES AWAY....
IVE BEEN READING IT COULD BE A BAD INJECTOR SO IAM GOING TO PLAY AROUND WITH THE INJECTORS AND CHECK COMPRESSION...
RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS, PLEASE HELP.
*BLOCK WAS HONED/NEW PISTON RINGS/BEARINGS/FULL REBUILT, LEFT THE HEAD STOCK BUT THE MACHINE SHOP CHECKEDIT AND IT LOOKS GOOD..

You're describing cylinder #3. #1 is always closest to the timing belt/chain.
Do a compression test. If the dead cylinder has compression that is similar to the others then Its very simple process of elimination from there. Its either a dead injector/injector wiring or bad spark plug or spark plug wire to that cylinder. You Can try swapping injectors to see if the problem follows the suspect injector.
