So when I start my car it idles at 1200-1500 rpms and surges after I drive it and the car warms up it will idle correctly at about 800rpms I have cleaned the Iac Valve and it helped a little. When I unplug my Iacv it idles higher and stays there. i ran the codes a week ago and it only ran p0420 I reran the codes yesterday and i have p0420, p1509, p0113 should I replace iacv or any other suggestions other than look it up I have... thanks

P1509 suggests that your IACV wires are not connected correctly or are bad. Test them, and also post car information.

 

Thanks for all the help, 2000 Honda Civic d16y8 ,I am going to clean up connectors today and I am waiting on my friend to bring a meter. What should my Iacv be at with the meter? Also I tried unplugging my iacv while my car was on and my idle increased to2000 rpms whats that indicate?

 

Saw my radiator cap so I got a new one and did a coolant flush

 

I just threw up in my mouth.....
