1994 Civic Si Not Revving Past 6k
Hello -
Completely stock 1994 Honda Civic Si not going over 6,000 RPMs.
No CEL's.
Oil is topped off. No leaks of any sort.
ECU = P28
CEL = Not on, but is functional. Lights up when key is turned to On position.
Any ideas on what to troubleshoot?
Thanks!

You say the CEL isn't on, but does it work? It should come on for ~3 seconds when you turn the key to ON(II), and then turn off. What ECU is in the car?

Thanks, ECU is correct.
Also, the idle is perfect.
I've seen issues where the distributor was limiting rev's to 3k, but this is totally different from that because you're limited to 6k. I would suggest looking into trying a different ecu, or try a different tachometer to confirm.

Okay, I'll look into the tach but I'm doubtful it's off by that much.
Either way, for what its worth the entire speedo assembly was replaced by Honda 2 years ago.

You're no where near technical enough to make that claim, if you were technical than you wouldn't have created this thread. Not to mention there are no direct answers until a diagnose is done, and you haven't even done that yet.
Thanks. I've seen swapped ones be off, but I didn't think a stock setup would be off by that much. I guess nothing is impossible so I'll source out out another one to troubleshoot.
