Default Changing headers!

I just picked up a Focuz Header for cheap and just wondering what i new parts i may need to get this done. The guy gave me gasket lining for me to draw out and cut to use and some sealer. I was reading the haynes manual and it said that i should get new locking nuts.... is that necessary? also, im taking off the o2 sensor. DO i need a special tool to take it off? Anything else?

Thanks

You don't need new locking nuts, your old ones will hold just fine. As for the O2 sensor, you're prolly gonna need to buy a new socket - your local auto parts store should carry bigger sockets made specifically for removing O2 sensors.

also ur car might have a metal gasket on the exhausts manifold... u can reuse that if its on good condition... if u decided to do a gasket, make sure if fits perfectly so it doesnt make a turbulence and resistance on the header,,,,

a 17mm box-end wrench will take the O2 sensor off, if you cant get your hands on an o2 sensor socket.......

If it's a 4-2-1 header, install will be cake as you can assemble it from the underside of the car. Don't forget the gasket at the 4-2 joint....... might want to pick up the OEM gasket for that, as well as the Header---> cat gasket.

If it's a 4-1 you will most likely either have to remove the A/C ****/radiator, or the crossmember... not sure I've never checked the 4-1 install clearance on a D series, just a B

yeah to install my DC 4-1 on my b16 i had to remoce the radiator, rad. fan, and crossmember. Pain in the ***** considering how easy the actual header install is....
