Yes I checked wiring all the way back to the ECU and it seemed they were fine I've been put in another computer and when I got on the highway code popped up again! I'm at my wits end.The replacement 02 sensor is a bosch and I heard they were garbage, but it seemed to test OK

I had the same issue with my 91 lx and replacing 02 seemed to fix it. Did you use a cheap autozone brand? This is the one I used...

You know, an O2 code doesn't necessarily mean the O2 is bad. It can also be that the O2 is getting exhaust readings that are so bad that the O2 sensor goes out of range on the readings.

Having tons of black soot on your O2 sensor is not a good thing. Maybe you have internal engine issues giving an improper burn of fuel or something.

Does your exhaust smoke at all?
Have a look at your spark plugs and lets see what those look like.
Do a compression check while you have all the plugs out.
