What info do these new car ECMs/PCMs store?
Hey Guys/Girls,
I recently got a newer car (2014 Accord V6 Coupe) which comes with all the idiot-proof sensors, etc., that quite frankly drive me a bit cuckoo; the amount of distraction is insane in my opinion. Coming from my beloved 2001 CL Type S (No Navi), I hope you all can see what I'm used to and why I think all that gadgetry is overrated...
Given my aggressive "offensive" driving nature, this car does a lot of bitching at me. :snicker: I just wonder if every triggered warning my car gives is stored in the ECM along with all the other typical powertrain, emissions, etc., data/codes. I really don't want acceleration or deceleration data stored either!
I may just be paranoid when it comes to highly-computerized cars, but I really don't know exactly what info they store anymore.
Does anyone know if they store driving behavior at all?
Thank You!!

Ugh....I'd never buy a Dodge anyway...LOL
It seems like there'd be a way to wipe the info, if necessary.
As a side-note, I'd hit the "Thanks" button if there was one 94vtecmn! This forum is missing a ton of smilies too!
