Default Is this the right size Flex Hone for a B18B?

I have stock bore 81mm in my LS and would like to use a Flex Hone if possible. When I do a conversion from mm to inch I get 3.188 inches. The closest I can find is this
Brush Research FLEX-HONE Cylinder Hone, GB Series, Silicon Carbide Abrasive, 3-1/4" (83 mm) Diameter, 240 Grit Size: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Brush Research FLEX-HONE Cylinder Hone, GB Series, Silicon Carbide Abrasive, 3-1/4" (83 mm) Diameter, 240 Grit Size: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
so will that work or do they not make the proper sized hone?

Get the 83mm as you want it oversize for the bore. 83mm can do bore size as small as 76.

if u are looking to just deglaze the cyl walls id look for a 400-600 grit 240 is pretty coarse for a final home imo. flex hones are actually pretty easy to use. u should have a good dial bore gauge too so u can measure out of round and cyl bore so u know how much u took off and what ur ptw tolerance will be.

I am using Hastings piston rings and they say to properly seat their rings to use a 240 grit with a 45 degree cross hatch. I know in in the manual it says 400 grit but I am not using stock OEM rings. There is some light scratching in one cylinder, just enough to feel but not even enough to catch a nail on. I figure the coarser grit should take care of it. I am not going to hone it 20 over as I could risk cracking the cylinder.

Hey man we are finishing up a b18a1 build, deciding on rings, we are going budget build so OEM is out (i know how much we love OEM on here but $200 on rings is not budget lol) saw you used hasting rings and the 240grit is also much cheaper than 400 grit flex hone. So it's been a while since this post and curious how your hasting rings turned out? They are a very cheap option but never used them myself I was gonna go Mahle/Clevit and am still considering they are $100 not budget but half the price of OEM for a brand I can trust I can deal with. Then I ran into this thread, so how do oyu like those rings? How did the Hastings hold up? Would you go Hastings again? It's budget build but we have put the price tag where it counts, just wondering if its worth saving here for hastings or going Clevit?

Also side note anyone know what grit Mahle Clevit recommends for thier rings? I'll call tomorrow they are just closed as I am doing this....
