Icon2 Bullseye s374r turbo

I hope someone can help me with a question. I have a new Bullseye s374r 1.25ar turbo from a project that did not make it to completion. I was wondering if there is anyway to make this turbo street usable. I have a AFI front facing manifold which chances are I'll have to purchase something else. My motor setup is a 82mm 9:1 sleeved GSR with a B16 head, Pro1 cams. Can I change out the hot side or am I better off trading or buying something else? New car is a Integra with a JDM front conversion. Thanks!

It's going to be fairly lazy on almost any b series motor unless you're trying to build a highway monster or a measured distance speed beast. It would probably be a lot of fun on a k24 or j series build though. It just depends on what you consider "streetable" and the power you're wanting to make.

That AFI setup is sexy though, makes me sad I never got to run any AFI products before Jesse shut it down. I take project donations *hint hint lol* I'll give you lots of moderator love as well.

Lazy, isn't even the beginning of how I would define the way that this turbo charger will behave on a four-cylinder like this.

You will be able to get positive pressure by, next week. Full boost under 25 pounds by, two weeks.

*Edit*
Now, if this is strictly drag racing, and nothing more, you're fine, but you may have to look to your class regulations to see of if that size is allowed in your class

Look to what your goals are to achieve outside E.T.s, and power level, and purpose and get back to us

haha I`ll keep you in mind. It was a long shot but what I was expecting, I will try to find someone to buy this and get something smaller. I was just hoping there was a way. Thanks.

I run a similarly sized Holset turbo on a 10:1 84x89, B16 head with Pro 1 cams on Methanol, the turbo only "comes on" from about 6000 rpm upwards, so as stated above not street friendly.

The S374 is a old technology turbo, things have moved on quite a bit.

Rather switch to a T4 flanged BW S364.5, PTE 6466, Comp 6465 etc which will allow you to keep your AFI manifold and still have ~800hp potential

Thanks for the info! My street car is not a daily, basically just a weekend car, so I'm not too worried about the front facing manifold. I'll look into one of the turbo's you mentioned. What size A/R would be a good choice?

It's not the A/R size you need to concern with as much. Its the overall size of the compressor and turbine wheels that make the difference. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POWER GOAL IN MIND before worrying about the small stuff like A/R recommendations. That will even determine if 62mm, 64mm, or slightly larger will take care of what you need with the front facing manifold.

Plus take into account that some of these will have different compressor housing outlet sizes and style to connect to the intercooler. When you've started out with these Big boys that use V-band clamps, you'll find that the more reasonable ones from the other companies revert back to hose connection. that's not a bad thing, but you need to be aware that the connections will more than likely change.

Once you get the power level, and "weekend warrior" details in here, we can start investigating sizes of wheels to work... A/R housing sizes are last. It's not a universal process.
