Ok here's the thing,

I need to get my 93 DX going while I work on the redoing the D16Y8 5 Speed I have. Course the DX is an Auto, and the ECU is bad.

As you know the 98 EX used the p2p ECU and it's obd2, so I want to order a p28 to run the D16Y8 but can it also run the D15B7 auto in the intrim?

I tend to work a little slow, so we are talking running the stock engine for at least a couple months or until the weather changes..

 

Only if the P28 ecu was from an auto. Of note the 4th gear shift point will be different and it will shift poorly there.

You can not make an auto ecu out of a manual ecu, only vice-versa.

 

So, could I get this edu, and make it work for both...

I would order a fleabay auto P06.

Using a P28 ECU (Z6) on a non vtec B7 motor would not run well I don't think. The maps would be off, the MIL would be on for no vtec solenoid etc.
